Choose a Mode

Compare song play, Endless, 1v1, the Daily Song, and Fade mode using only the goals named in the official description.

Pick the activity that matches the goal

The official description lists five ways to play. They are not a ranked ladder. Use this table to choose, then open the matching page for the limits that are still unknown.

Activity What the official description says Choose it when Do not assume
Play songs Play songs and choose your speed You want a chart with a finish and a speed you set A published difficulty number for each song
Endless Build up speed in Endless mode You want the run to get faster on its own A published speed curve or target score
1v1 Challenge another player in 1v1 You want a head-to-head round A published rank formula or required party size
Daily Song Take on a new Daily Song You want the featured track the game is highlighting A published reset clock
Fade Test your memory as tiles disappear You want less of the chart left on screen How many tiles fade, or when they fade

A practical order

This order is practice advice, not an official ranking. Clear a song at a speed you choose before you rely on Endless speed-ups, a 1v1, or Fade. The Daily Song is a good second step when you want an unfamiliar chart but still want a normal song attempt. Fade is the last of the five to force, because the description frames it as a memory test: learn the pattern while you can still see it.

What changes between modes

Song mode is the only line that explicitly says you choose the speed. Endless is the only line that says the game builds speed up. 1v1 is the only line about another player. Daily Song is the only line about a changing featured track. Fade is the only line about tiles disappearing. Skins, backgrounds, stars, and leaderboards are listed once for the whole game, not as separate rewards inside each mode.
