What the result screen is for
The official description gives three progression goals: earn stars, beat your best, and climb the leaderboards. It also says you can unlock tile skins and backgrounds. It never publishes a score formula, a star table, a leaderboard season, or a price for a skin.
Read the numbers the client shows. This site will not convert a clear into a point value, because that math is not in the source.
How to improve a best without a formula
Work on one visible change at a time.
- Finish the song at a speed you can read. A higher speed that you cannot finish is not a better best unless the client itself ranks it that way.
- Repeat until fewer moments fall apart. The miss penalty is unpublished, so use your own count of breakdowns.
- Raise speed in song mode, or move to Endless if you want the game to raise speed for you.
- Check the personal best the game stores. If it did not move, the client did not count the run as better. Rejoining a server is not a documented repair for that.
- Look at the leaderboard only after you have a best of your own. There is no published cutoff for a rank name.
About 71 percent of the public vote record was an upvote when it was read: 6,743 up and 2,743 down, out of 9,486 votes. That is a listing snapshot, not a score inside a song.
Skins and backgrounds
Unlocks exist. Costs do not, at least not in public text. The badges endpoint for this experience returned no badges, and a public game-pass list was not available, so this page will not invent a pass that buys a skin.
Community guides say skins and backgrounds change appearance only. The official bullets list them separately from stars and from 1v1. Until the customization screen shows a price, do not assume stars are the currency. The entity pages are Tile Skins, Backgrounds, and Stars.
Codes are not a progression path
No code string is published. Do not pause a best-score session to redeem a guessed word. Status is on the codes page.
